Job summary

Rochdale Council is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 1 to support across the school, including the Rainbow unit and Rainforest complex needs unit. The post is 32.5 hours per week on a temporary maternity cover basis.

The successful applicant will work under supervision, engaging with children with a range of learning difficulties and contributing to a differentiated curriculum that enables meaningful inclusion and access to learning for all across EYFS to Year 6.

Qualifications

• Applicants should have childcare qualifications.
• Experience supporting children with learning difficulties.
• Ability to deliver a differentiated curriculum enabling inclusive learning.

Responsibilities

• Support children with a range of learning difficulties and be enthusiastic, warm and friendly.
• Deliver a differentiated curriculum enabling meaningful inclusion and access to learning.
• Work under the direction/supervision of teaching staff across EYFS to Year 6, including Rainbow and Rainforest units.
• Be able to work in 1:1 settings and teach small groups.
