Job summary

Page Personnel in Leeds is seeking an Audit Assistant Manager for a respected independent accountancy practice. You will lead audits from planning to completion, liaise with clients, and mentor junior staff in a growing firm.

The successful candidate will hold ACA/ACCA or equivalent, have strong auditing and reporting knowledge, and be proactive in budgeting and business development to support client relationships.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting.
• Experience managing audit engagements and leading teams.
• Excellent communication with clients and colleagues.
• Proactive and organised with multi-tasking and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Review audit files for compliance with standards.
• Act as primary client contact throughout engagements.
• Support Managers and Partners with portfolio management.
• Supervise and develop Audit Seniors and juniors.
• Assist with budgeting, scheduling and resource planning.
• Identify opportunities for additional value-added services.
• Support business development and maintain client relationships.
