Castle Employment Agency Ltd is assisting an established independent accountancy practice in West Yorkshire to recruit an Audit & Accounts Senior in Leeds. The role involves owning audits from planning to completion and liaising with clients.

You should have ACA/ACCA and a minimum of 3 years' UK practice experience; charity audits are beneficial but not essential. The firm offers flexible working, on-site parking, and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Head audits independently and attend client sites.
• Prepare and review accounts and work across both accounts and audit.
• Liaise directly with clients throughout assignments.
• Manage workloads and ensure deadlines are met.
• Support junior team members as required.
• Take ownership of assignments from day one.
• Work with a varied portfolio of clients with turnovers around £10m–£20m.
• Support charity audit assignments where required.

Role: Audit & Accounts Senior
Location: Leeds
Salary: Up to £45,000 (dependant on experience)

This is a great opportunity to join an established and growing independent accountancy practice in West Yorkshire, supporting a varied portfolio of audit and accounts clients across Yorkshire.

The role would suit an experienced Audit Senior or Audit & Accounts Senior who is confident at taking ownership of assignments and enjoys a hands-on, client-facing position. The firm operates within a general practice environment, so there is also the opportunity to gain wider exposure across accounts and audit.

• Taking responsibility for audit assignments from planning through to completion

Requirements of the Audit Senior job include:

• Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice (Minimum 3 years)
• ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience candidates considered
• Charity audit experience would be beneficial but is not essential
