AV Service Engineer (Smart Home / Commercial AV Systems)

£40,000 - £45,000 + Van + Tools + Travel Expenses + Overtime

Job Summary

London / UK Travel Long–Term Progression: Are you an AV Service Engineer ready to step into a specialist, autonomous role where you’ll own high‑end Smart home and Commercial automation projects with fast tracked progression and fast salary enhancements as the company continues its rapid growth?

This is a hands‑on field role working with premium residential systems and advanced commercial automation, fault‑finding, servicing and maintaining complex AV, lighting, networking and control systems. You’ll work with industry‑leading technologies (Crestron, Control4, Lutron) across luxury properties and flagship commercial spaces.

If you want more autonomy, specialist equipment, deeper technical challenge and long‑term development in a growing SME, this role offers it.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance on integrated AV, cinema and automation systems in high‑end properties.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and software faults across audio, video, lighting and IP networks (Wi‑Fi, routers, switches, VLANs, subnets).
  • Support and maintain Crestron and Control4 systems: uploading firmware, updating projects and resolving programming‑related issues.
Qualifications
  • Experience in the custom install / Audio Visual industry in a service, commissioning or support role.
  • Strong working knowledge of IP networking – confident with WAPs, routers, switches, VLANs and subnets.
  • Hands‑on experience supporting and maintaining Crestron and/or Control4 systems.
  • Comfortable working autonomously on client sites.
