Job summary

NoteMachine, a Brink's company, is hiring a Field Service Engineer to maintain and repair our nationwide ATM network from Blackburn. You will work independently in the field, combining technical expertise with excellent customer service to deliver a first-class experience.

The role offers a 44-hour weekly schedule, advanced rota planning, and a comprehensive benefits package including an onboarding bonus up to £1,000, a performance bonus, company van, fuel card, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous Field Service Engineering experience involving electro-mechanical equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive approach to delivering excellent service.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 active penalty points.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel within your designated region.
• Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
• Resident within the BB postcode area.
• Able to pass financial and background screening requirements.
• Experience working with ATM equipment.
• Experience within cash handling, retail technology, self-service, vending, gaming, EPOS or similar electro-mechanical environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out second-line break-fix repairs and preventative maintenance across our ATM estate, including Triton, NCR and Wincor machines.
• Diagnose faults and resolve technical issues efficiently and safely.
• Deliver high levels of customer service during every site visit.
• Work closely with customers to minimise downtime and maintain service performance.
• Accurately record repairs, parts usage, and service activity.
• Complete quality checks to ensure repairs meet company standards.
• Participate in ongoing technical and professional development training.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, health & safety standards, and security protocols.
