Job summary

AECOM in the UK is recruiting an Associate Risk Manager to join our Integrated Programme Controls team in London, Manchester, Birmingham, or Bristol offices. You will implement and advise on Risk Management solutions for major infrastructure projects across sectors, engaging senior stakeholders and collaborating with clients and suppliers.

You will develop risk exposure assessments, governance, and decision-support materials, lead risk assurance activities, and mentor staff while supporting bids

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in risk management on complex projects and programmes.
• Bachelor’s Degree or risk management qualification (MOR, APM Risk, IRM).
• Experience in multi-discipline project environments.
• Proficiency with Industry Risk Management tools (ARM, Xactium, RiskHive, Predict).
• Experience with Quantitative Risk Analysis (QCRA & QSRA) and software like Safran, Primavera Risk Analyser, @risk.

Responsibilities

• Act as the risk management lead for high value projects and programmes.
• Engage with project teams to implement risk management effectively.
• Provide risk management input to bids and proposals to secure new business.
• Perform risk assurance checks to ensure quality of risk management.
• Communicate risk data to senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor staff in risk management best practice.
• Facilitate identification, assessment and prioritisation of risks.
• Develop Risk Registers, Risk Management Plans, and Risk Mitigation Plans.
• Conduct Quantitative Risk Analysis (QCRA/QSRA) using tools like Safran, Primavera Risk Analyser, @risk.
• Design and implement risk management frameworks for projects and programmes.
• Support cost, scheduling, project controls and change management teams where appropriate.
