Job summary

A Senior Risk Manager role at AECOM for UK offices (London, Manchester, Birmingham, or Bristol) to lead risk management on major infrastructure projects. You will implement risk solutions, engage with senior stakeholders, and work within the Integrated Programme Controls team to shape governance and decision making.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in risk management, knowledge of QCRA/QSRA, and proficiency with tools like ARM, Xactium, RiskHive, and @risk. Travel across sectors is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in risk management, with 2+ years on high-value projects.
• Bachelor’s degree or risk management qualification (MOR/APM IRM).
• Experience in multi-discipline project environments.
• Proficient with industry risk tools (ARM, Xactium, RiskHive, Predict).
• Experience in QCRA/QSRA using Safran, Primavera Risk Analyser or @risk.
• Ability to implement risk processes aligned with ISO31000 and related methodologies.
• Willingness to travel and work across sectors.
• People management and facilitation skills.
• Knowledge of engineering and construction management.
• Working knowledge of current project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Engage project teams to implement effective risk management.
• Provide risk input to bids and proposals to win work.
• Perform risk assurance to ensure quality of risk management.
• Communicate risk data to senior leaders.
• Coach and mentor staff in risk management best practice.
• Identify, assess and prioritise risks.
• Develop Risk Registers, Risk Management Plans, and Mitigation Plans.
• Conduct quantitative risk analysis to establish contingencies.
• Design and implement risk management frameworks for projects.
• Support cost, scheduling, and change management teams where appropriate.
