Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd in London is seeking an experienced Associate Project Manager to join a leading independent property and building consultancy. You will manage a portfolio of £2m to £50m+ across commercial office, industrial, retail and residential sectors with high autonomy.

Ideal candidates will be MRICS or MAPM qualified, with a technical background in Building Surveying, Architecture or Engineering, strong client-facing skills and a track record delivering commercial property projects.

Job description

A leading independent property and building consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Associate Project Manager to join its growing London team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Project Manager to take the next step in their career, working with a high-profile client base across commercial office, industrial & logistics, retail and residential sectors.

You will manage a varied portfolio of projects, typically ranging from £2m to £50m+, including new build, refurbishment, alteration, extension and fit-out schemes.

The Role

• Lead projects from feasibility through to completion, with a high degree of autonomy.
• Act as Contract Administrator and/or Employer's Agent.
• Manage professional teams, contractors and key stakeholders.
• Manage programme, cost, quality and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
• Act as the key client contact and develop strong long-term relationships.
• Provide advice on JCT contracts, including extensions of time and loss & expense claims.
• Identify opportunities for repeat business and new instructions.
• Support the continued growth of the project management service.li>
• Lead and mentor junior members of the team.

About You

You will ideally be MRICS or MAPM qualified, with a Building Surveying, Architecture, Engineering or similar technical background.

You should have:

• A strong track record delivering commercial property projects.
• Experience managing projects of £2m £50m+.
• Strong JCT contract knowledge.
• Experience as Contract Administrator and/or Employer's Agent.
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
• The ability to lead project teams and manage multiple projects autonomously.
• A commercially focused approach with proven client relationship and business development skills.
