Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Associate Director Civil Structural Engineer to lead a team delivering high-profile civil structural design across UK projects, including energy, defence and nuclear sectors. Based in Manchester with a hybrid pattern (3 days office/site), you will manage delivery, budgets, and client engagement.

You will bring Chartered status, a Civil/Structural degree, experience leading large-scale design, and proficiency in Tekla, Robot, and STAAD.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer with leadership experience.
• Proven delivery of large-scale Civil Structural design in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong knowledge of design codes and CDM regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Civil Structural Engineers delivering technical design on complex projects.
• Develop design deliverables and manage time/budgets to milestones.
• Produce and review design reports, drawings, calculations, and scopes of work.
• Provide technical leadership within the D&AT practice and promote best practices.
• Grow and manage Civil Structural capabilities regionally/nationally.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in the UK and overseas.
