Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks an Associate Director to lead civil and structural design within the Transmission & Distribution sector, delivering complex designs safely and to code. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, assure technical quality, and strengthen client relationships across UK projects.

You will develop talent, contribute to practice strategy, manage risk, and drive growth while upholding governance across bid proposals and delivery. Hybrid work is available with UK travel as needed.

Qualifications

• You will have a proven track record delivering civil/structural designs and drawings to code and client standards.
• Experience leading FEED and detailed design for EHV substation or OHL projects.
• Ability to manage complex, high-impact projects and multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership and engineering management for civil/structural design in T&D, offshore wind and interconnectors.
• Lead design delivery, client engagement and growth while ensuring safety, quality and governance.
• Oversee multiple complex projects and guide teams to high-quality, compliant submissions.
