Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal Civil Structural Engineer to lead a Civil Structural team within the D&AT Practice. Deliver design work for complex multi-disciplinary projects across energy, defence, and nuclear sectors in the UK and beyond.

You will coordinate engineers, review technical outputs, manage budgets, and contribute to bid proposals while collaborating with global teams. A Chartered/Incorporated status and strong knowledge of Eurocodes are essential.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered or Incorporated Civil/Structural Engineer status.
• Proven experience coordinating a Civil Structural design delivery team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate or manage a team of Civil Structural engineers for complex projects.
• Produce and review design reports, drawings, calculations and scopes of work.
• Provide input into project design deliverables and manage time and budgets.
• Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary AtkinsRéalis teams.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues and grow local capabilities.
• Work with minimal guidance and guide junior team members.
