Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Civil Engineering Structures Technical Director to lead technical delivery across the national D&AT practice in the UK. You will drive complex, high‑risk projects in nuclear and defence sectors, shaping strategy, governance and client engagement.

The role requires Chartered status, a civil/structural engineering degree, and proven leadership in multidisciplinary programmes with UK-wide travel and hybrid work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer.
• Extensive leadership in complex, high-risk projects.
• Experience in nuclear industry is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership within national D&AT practice.
• Influence practice-wide initiatives and improve processes and services.
• Lead as technical authority in civil structural engineering for nuclear-related structures.
• Represent AtkinsRéalis' expertise to current and prospective clients.
• Oversee bid input, defining delivery strategy and compliant submissions.
• Grow and manage Civil Structures capability, especially for nuclear/defence markets.
