Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited is seeking a Principal Civil Structures Engineer to lead design delivery on high-profile UK energy, defence and nuclear projects. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, deliver technical reports, and guide junior engineers within the D&AT Practice.

The role requires Chartered/ Incorporated status, broad sector experience, and strong knowledge of Eurocodes with proficiency in Tekla, Robot or STAAD. Hybrid work is offered with base in London or Epsom.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
Chartered or Incorporated Civil/Structural Engineer.
Experience coordinating a civil/structural design delivery team.
Knowledge of Eurocodes and CDM Regulations.
Proficiency with Tekla, Robot or STAAD in design delivery.

Responsibilities

Coordinate or manage a team of civil/structural engineers for complex multi-disciplinary projects.
Produce and review design reports, drawings, calculations and scopes of work.
Provide technical input into civil/structural aspects and manage time/budgets to milestones.
Collaborate with client and AtkinsRéalis teams across disciplines.
Mentor less experienced colleagues and grow local capabilities.
Work independently with minimal technical guidance.
Provide guidance to junior team members and exercise judgement.
Support bid proposals with technical input.
Work with UK and overseas teams to deliver integrated designs.
Adhere to QA standards and check own and others' work.
