Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate/Associate Director to provide technical leadership across bridge and civil design and assessment projects in the UK and overseas. You will mentor junior engineers and ensure delivery to time and budget while leading multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer with track record in bridge projects.
• Experience in project management of bridge schemes.
• Knowledge of DMRB and MCDHW.
• Proficiency in Eurocodes for bridge design.
• Experience with steel and concrete bridge structures.
• Experience with finite element tools (LUSAS, Superstress, SAM).
• Excellent communication and client handling.
• Mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on bridge/civil design and assessment projects in the UK and overseas.
• Lead project reviews to optimize solutions and coordinate inputs.
• Manage resources and develop cross-team relationships.
• Agree fees and manage commercial position on projects.
• Promote culture of technical review and challenge.
• Develop client relationships and lead tenders/bids.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members.
