Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Assistant Traffic Control Engineer to join the Traffic Control Systems (TCS) team. Based in the UK, you will help deliver high-quality traffic signal projects across the transport sector, supporting design, surveys, testing and project administration.

You will work with a collaborative team, receive mentorship, and have opportunities to grow skills in urban traffic control, UTC, and smart mobility technologies. Hybrid working from Epsom or Bristol is available.

Qualifications

• Proven grounding in traffic signals/highways design and operation.
• Willingness to develop professional registration with a recognized institute.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design Traffic Signal Installations in 2D/3D using AutoCAD.
• Provide design solutions and prepare engineering calculations/drawings.
• Conduct site surveys and support installation and optimisation.
• Test and commission traffic control equipment.
• Support project administration and deliver technical notes and reports.
