Job summary

The White Company is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead and support the store team, partnering with the Store Manager to translate plans into action while maintaining high service standards.

You will evolve from supporting performance on the shop floor to leading with increasing ownership, developing people leadership, commercial understanding and decision-making in a premium retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a retail environment.
• Commercially curious with an understanding of KPIs and store priorities.
• Organised, adaptable, and calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in leading, coaching, and motivating the store team.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and induction of new team members.
• Lead by example on the shop floor and maintain brand standards.
• Balance operational tasks with delivering a premium customer experience.
• Support delivery of store sales, payroll and stock targets.
• Oversee daily operations and duty management responsibilities.
• Review KPIs and trading information to take practical actions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, Health & Safety and security procedures.
