Job summary

The White Company is looking for an Assistant Store Manager in Morpeth to lead day-to-day store operations alongside the Store Manager. You will drive exceptional customer experiences, coach the team, and ensure brand standards are consistently delivered on the shop floor.

As a key role in retail leadership, you’ll help with recruitment, training, performance conversations, and planning for peak periods, all while maintaining a calm, premium environment for customers and colleagues alike.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a retail environment.
• Confident and approachable leader who develops others.
• Commercially curious with understanding of KPIs and store priorities.
• Organised, adaptable and calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in leading, coaching and motivating the store team.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive culture with clear expectations and regular feedback.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and induction of new team members.
• Manage performance, conduct or absence conversations with guidance.
• Act as a visible leader on the shop floor, providing direction during busy periods.
• Take on full store leadership responsibly when required.
