Job summary

Places Developments is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a residential development in Manchester. You will work closely with the Site Manager and project team to coordinate daily site activity, ensuring safety, quality and progress against the programme.

You will promote safe practices, conduct inductions, manage logistics, and liaise with contractors, NHBC, and homeowners as part of a busy site team. A competitive benefits package accompanies this role.

Qualifications

• CSCS supervisor accreditation.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• SMSTS qualification.
• First Aid certificate.
• Scaffold Inspection qualification.
• Knowledge of NHBC standards and building control requirements.
• Experience in housebuilding or residential construction.
• Good IT and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager with day-to-day management of construction activity.
• Ensure work is delivered in line with programme, budget and quality.
• Promote safe working practices and site culture.
• Conduct health and safety inductions for contractors and visitors.
• Plan and coordinate work packages, site activities and logistics.
• Collaborate with contractors, suppliers and NHBC to keep work on track.
• Deputise for the Site Manager when required.
• Coordinate snagging and handover activities with new homeowners.
