Places Developments is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a residential development in Leigh. You will work closely with the Site Manager and project team to coordinate day-to-day site activity, ensuring work progresses safely, efficiently and to high-quality standards.

You will promote safe working practices, monitor quality, conduct inductions, plan work packages and coordinate stakeholders, including NHBC.

Qualifications

• CSCS supervisor accreditation is essential.
• A full, clean UK driving licence is required.
• A valid SMSTS qualification is required.
• A valid First Aid certificate is required.
• A Scaffold Inspection qualification is required.
• Knowledge of NHBC standards and building control requirements is essential.
• Previous experience in housebuilding or residential construction is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Support the Site Manager with day-to-day management of construction activity, ensuring delivery aligns with programme, budget and quality.
• Promote safe working practices and maintain a professional site culture.
• Monitor quality and ensure Build Stage Inspection processes are followed.
• Conduct health and safety inductions for contractors and visitors.
• Plan and coordinate work packages, site activities and logistics to minimise risk.
• Work with contractors, suppliers, NHBC and stakeholders to keep activity progressing and deadlines on track.
• Deputise for the Site Manager when required and maintain site management discipline.
• Coordinate snagging and liaise with new homeowners on completion timelines.
