Job summary

Places Developments is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a residential development. You will work closely with the Site Manager and project team to coordinate day-to-day site activity, ensuring safe, efficient progress and high-quality standards on a busy housing site.

You will promote safe practices, monitor quality, lead inductions, coordinate work packages and liaise with contractors, NHBC, and stakeholders to keep progress on track.

Qualifications

• CSCS supervisor accreditation required.
• SMSTS qualification essential.
• First Aid certificate required.
• Scaffold Inspection qualification beneficial.
• Knowledge of NHBC standards and building control requirements.
• Previous experience in housebuilding or residential construction.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager with day-to-day construction activity to meet programme, budget and quality targets.
• Promote safe working practices and maintain a professional site culture.
• Monitor quality and ensure Build Stage Inspections are followed.
• Conduct health and safety inductions for contractors and visitors.
• Coordinate work packages, site activities and logistics to minimise risks.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, NHBC and stakeholders to keep deadlines on track.
• Assist with snagging coordination and site discipline.
