Job summary

Places for People is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Site Manager to support delivery of a residential development in Hemel Hempstead. You will work closely with the Site Manager and project team to coordinate day-to-day activity on site, ensuring work progresses safely, efficiently and to high quality standards.

You will supervise safety inductions, plan and coordinate work packages, and liaise with contractors, NHBC and homeowners to keep milestones on track.

Qualifications

• CSCS supervisor accreditation is essential.
• SMSTS qualification required.
• First Aid certificate required.
• Scaffold Inspection qualification preferred.
• Knowledge of NHBC standards and building control is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager with day-to-day management of construction activity on site.
• Coordinate work packages, site activities and logistics.
• Promote safe working practices and maintain site safety culture.
• Induct contractors and visitors on health and safety procedures.
• Monitor quality and ensure Build Stage Inspections are followed.
• Liaise with NHBC, contractors and suppliers to keep progress on track.
• Depict for the Site Manager when required and maintain site discipline.
• Coordinate snagging with homeowners and ensure timely completion.
