Job summary

Places for People is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the Site Manager in a busy residential development. You will help coordinate day-to-day construction activities, ensure work is delivered on time and to high quality, and promote a safe, professional site culture.

You will supervise health and safety inductions, plan work packages, work with contractors and NHBC, and assist in snagging and handover to new homeowners. A strong focus on safety and organisation is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager with day-to-day management of construction activity, ensuring work aligns with programme, budget and quality.
• Promote safe working practices and maintain a professional site culture.
• Monitor quality and ensure Build Stage Inspection processes are followed.
• Conduct health and safety inductions for contractors and visitors.
• Plan and coordinate work packages, site activities and logistics.
• Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, NHBC and stakeholders to keep progress on track.
• Deputise for the Site Manager when needed and uphold site discipline.
• Coordinate snagging with new homeowners and ensure timely completion.
