Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is recruiting an Assistant Site Manager for a large, multi-phase development in Swindon on behalf of a leading national housebuilder. You will support the Site Manager to ensure safe delivery on programme and high-quality standards.

The role emphasizes supervising trades, coordinating site activities, maintaining quality records, and assisting with inspections, snagging and customer handover preparation, with a strong focus on safety and NHBC compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience as Assistant Site Manager or supervisor in residential construction.
• Background in housebuilding, ideally with volume builds.
• Knowledge of construction methods, build programmes and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager with daily management and coordination of site activities.
• Supervise subcontractors and trades to ensure safety and quality.
• Monitor build quality and NHBC compliance; assist with inspections and handover preparation.
• Maintain site records and support resource and materials management.
• Help drive programmes and milestones; conduct regular site inspections.
