Job summary

Barratt Developments plc is seeking a Site Manager to lead development projects across Manchester. You will coordinate trades, manage resources, and ensure adherence to programme, quality, and cost targets while delivering excellent customer service.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will support site operations, attend meetings with Sales/Build teams, and deputise when required. A Chartered Institute of Builders member or NVQ in Construction Management, or equivalent experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience of working within established build programs.
• Assertive to ensure delivery of targets by the on-site team and trades/labour.
• Ability to prioritise tasks to meet changing business needs.
• Membership of the Chartered Institute of Builders and/or NVQ in Construction Management or time‑served tradesman with full construction trades experience.
• In-depth knowledge of construction trades, Health and Safety, NHBC requirements and Building Regulations.
• Strong customer service knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate trades, direct labour and materials to meet production programme.
• Attend Sales/Build meetings and ensure procedures and inspections of show homes are followed.
• Deputise for the Site Manager when required.
• Ensure on-site team is resourced, trained and properly directed.
