Mitie Group plc. is seeking a School Caretaker for Holly Lodge High School in Smethwick, UK. The role involves maintaining equipment, upholding cleaning schedules, and supporting building security and safety.

You will respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock facilities, and perform PPM tasks such as fire alarm tests and emergency light checks. DBS checks are required, with training provided and opportunities for career development.

We're looking for a School Caretaker who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to cleaning schedules., Undertake all required training and follow Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.

• Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand all cleaning materials and chemicals used.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use.

Previous caretaking experience (preferred but not essential).

• Reliable, hardworking, and professional attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Open, honest, self-driven, and determined.
• Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality, with willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
