Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a School Caretaker at Holly Lodge High School College Of Science, Smethwick. The role requires delivering high service standards, meeting SLA agreements, and adhering to cleaning schedules. The post is permanent and full-time, with 37.5 hours per week.

Salary is pay rate £13.78 per hour. Applicants must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory references.

Role Responsibilities

• Undertake all required training and follow Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand all cleaning materials and chemicals used.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use.
