Detailed job description and main responsibilities
1. To be responsible to the Surgical Service Managers for the delivery and support of all aspects of managing and co-ordinating the medical workforce across a group of specialties within the Surgical Division. This will be in direct support to the General Managers and Clinical Directors as well as working closely with the central Medical Workforce team, Theatres, Waiting List Office and Finance.
2. To develop, implement and maintain robust systems and processes for managing the medical workforce within the Surgical Division.
3. To be the first point of contact within the division on all aspects of medical staffing
4. To be responsible for the day to day co-ordination of the Theatre schedule within a group of specialties.
5. To work with finance and human resources to regularly reconcile actual to planned expenditure and to ensure accurate payment of medical staff.
6. The post holder will be required to provide regular and ad-hoc medical staffing information to Clinicians and Managers to ensure effective monitoring and use of medical staff across the division.
7. To support the service managers with a range of deliverables e.g RTT targets, Cancer targets and theatre and clinic utilisation
