Job summary

Mencap is recruiting an Assistant Service Manager for Great Yarmouth & Caister-on-Sea on a full-time contract (37.5 hours). You will report to the Service Manager, support a team of Support Workers and help ensure the smooth running of the service on site.

The role requires strong communication, IT literacy and a willingness to develop; supervisory experience is desirable but not essential. A full UK driving licence is required for roles across multiple services.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Service Manager in Great Yarmouth & Caister-on-Sea on a full time contract (37.5 hours per week) and you will need a full UK driving licence for this role. As an Assistant Service Manager, you will report to the Service Manager, working alongside them you will help to support a team of Support Workers and ensure the smooth running of the service. As an Assistant Service Manager you will?

• Have strong communication skills with the people we support, colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Be confident to support with leading and managing a team.
• Be flexible, ensuring there is adequate support across the management team on site.
• Previous supervisory experience is desirable but not an essential.
• Be IT literate.

You will ideally be a driver for this role as there are multiple services across Great Yarmouth & Caister-on-Sea and training may be in Norwich.
