Job summary

Mencap is seeking an Assistant Service Manager for Great Yarmouth & Caister-on-Sea. This full-time role (37.5 hours) requires a valid UK driving licence and involves supervising a team of Support Workers and ensuring smooth service delivery.

You will report to the Service Manager and support the on-site management team, with on-going development opportunities within our organisation.

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Service Manager in Great Yarmouth & Caister-on-Sea on a full time contract (37.5 hours per week) and you will need a full UK driving licence for this role. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to take the next step in their career and progress their development.

As an Assistant Service Manager, you will report to the Service Manager, working alongside them you will help to support a team of Support Workers and ensure the smooth running of the service.

• Have strong communication skills with the people we support, colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Be confident to support with leading and managing a team.
• Be flexible, ensuring there is adequate support across the management team on site.
• Previous supervisory experience is desirable but not an essential.
• Be IT literate.

You will ideally be a driver for this role as there are multiple services across Great Yarmouth & Caister-on-Sea and training may be in Norwich.

What will you be doing as an Assistant Service Manager?

• To be confident in being able to work using a computer and electronic systems.
