Job description

The successful candidate will assist with the everyday running of the pain service and its therapy interventions. This will include assessment and supervised interventions, co‑facilitating group work, meetings, in‑service training, managing the spinal cord stimulator database and other duties as required to facilitate the everyday working of the department.

Responsibilities

Research and Audit

Assist in the evaluation of various components/groups offered at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. This includes data collection and analysis, and managing and analysing the data bank for the spinal cord stimulator services (supervised by Daniel Board – specialist physiotherapist).

Clinical

Under supervision, support the delivery of group‑based interventions, which may include delivering sessions. There is also scope for some 1:1 supervised interventions and for working closely with the multi‑disciplinary team that delivers the wide variety of interventions at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. The post holder will also be expected to attend team meetings and away events.

Teaching & Training

Assist in delivering training to colleagues from other professions and in organising a national conference. Participate in service training.

Qualifications
  • Experience working within a clinical psychology department or related field (e.g., social work, care work, research).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
