A major UK infrastructure provider is seeking an Assistant Projects Town Planner. This position involves supporting delivery of planning and environmental consents while working closely with authorities and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have GCSEs along with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. The role offers a blended working model and a two-year internal training plan to develop expertise in planning and utilities consenting.

What you'll do:
  • Support the delivery of planning, highways and environmental consents
  • Work with planning authorities, stakeholders and legal teams
  • Help shape consents strategies for major network infrastructure projects
  • Build strong relationships with key external partners
  • Represent Consents at meetings and contribute to an engaged team culture
  • Follow a structured 2 year internal training plan
What you'll bring:
  • GCSEs (Maths, English, Science) + A levels / Level 4 (or willingness to achieve)
  • Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High safety awareness and a proactive, team focused approach
  • Desire to grow your expertise in planning and utilities consenting
Bonus points (training provided):
  • Experience in utilities, town planning, project management, or knowledge of consenting legislation.
