Job summary

Toad Hall Nursery Group in Watford is seeking an Assistant Nursery Manager to support the Nursery Manager, lead quality and compliance, and help drive occupancy with engaging leadership. You will work across safeguarding, Ofsted/EYFS compliance, staff development, and budget management to deliver a warm, high-quality learning environment for children and families.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant childcare qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering EYFS and safeguarding.
• Enhanced DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality and Compliance: ensure the nursery meets Ofsted, EYFS and legislative requirements through high-quality practice, audits and hands-on support in rooms.
• Inspire and Support the Team: develop and support staff across all areas – daily practice, performance and wellbeing.
• Drive Success and Growth: work with the Nursery Manager to manage budgets, occupancy and staffing to sustain a thriving setting.
