Job summary

Waterfront Café in Benson is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to help lead the day-to-day operation across café, bar, restaurant, pizza and events, with a focus on service, quality and hospitality.

You will run shifts, coach the team, control labour, stock and waste, handle customer queries, drive sales and ensure food safety; a route to career progression and a supportive management team are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hospitality supervisor/assistant management role.
• Confident leading a team and running shifts.
• Hands-on, organised and commercially aware.
• Passionate about customer service.
• Knowledgeable about food safety and hospitality standards.
• Positive, reliable and able to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the team during busy shifts.
• Maintain high standards of service, food quality, cleanliness and food safety.
• Support schedule, labour control, stock, ordering and waste reduction.
• Coach and develop team members.
• Deal confidently with customer queries and complaints.
• Help drive sales, upselling and overall profitability.
• Take responsibility for the smooth running of the business when the Store Manager is not on site.
