Job summary

Boots is seeking an Assistant Manager in the United Kingdom who will lead a retail team, coach staff, and balance people, performance and operations. You’ll role-model caring service and strong commercial performance, ensuring safe, compliant pharmacy services and high store standards.

You’ll manage day-to-day store running, plan rotas, schedule staffing, and take ownership of stock, audits, and customer care. Career progression opportunities exist across leadership levels.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a customer-facing environment.
• Ability to own performance and drive results.
• Inspire and coach others, manage performance.
• Strong planning skills for rotas, attendance and workload.
• Understand compliance, safety and operational standards.

• Confident using systems and data to drive decisions.
• Passionate about customer care and commercial outcomes.
• Willingness to work towards a Pharmacy qualification (if not already held).

• Use data and in-store insights to spot opportunities and act.
• Lead store in absence of Store Leader and make decisions.
