The Lifeboat Inn in St Ives is seeking a capable hospitality lead to step in for the General Manager when required. You will inspire a team, welcome guests with warmth, and uphold high service standards across front and back of house. A strong focus on safety, training, and development will be essential for long-term growth toward GM.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a hospitality team in a busy venue.
• Proven track record in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Ability to mentor and develop staff toward higher roles.
• Strong understanding of food and beverage operations.
• Experience with cash management and basic admin tasks.

Responsabilités

• Motivate and lead team when General Manager is away.
• Create a warm welcome for guests and maintain high service standards.
• Monitor customer feedback and drive continuous improvement.
• Support Front and Back of House during peak times.
• Oversee quality of food offerings and Kitchen operations.
• Provide coaching and support to team members as needed.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times.

The Lifeboat Innlies at the heart of everything that makes St Ives magical. This traditionalinn, complete with roaring log fire, faces the town’s picture-postcard harbourand nestles aptly beside its famous lifeboat house.

St Ives itself is astunning location that boasts a collection of glorious beaches, with quaintstreets and alleys dotted with art galleries, cafes, and shops.

This exciting role will see you work in an inspiringpart of the world, motivating a team of passionate people while supporting andoccasionally stepping in for the General Manager.

About You:

• Takingthe helm when the General Manager is away, you motivate team members todeliver their best and ensure everything is running smoothly andefficiently.
• Creatinga warm welcome to guests comes naturally to you, making every firstimpression count to ensure experiences delight from the get-go.
• Keeping awatchful eye over customer feedback means your team is always adapting tomaintain high standards and improve where necessary.
• You goabove and beyond to ensure a consistently high level of service,supporting the full team including Front and Back of House during peaktimes.
• Youoversee the consistent production of a quality food offering and recognisethe importance of the Kitchen Team.
• Having awealth of experience in a similar role means you are able to recognisewhen team members need help and you’ll support where needed.
• A keeneye for detail means you keep all admin and cash management systemsticking along as they should, taking responsibility when the GeneralManager is away.
• You knowhealth and safety regulations like the back of your hand.
• Teammembers see you as an inspiring role model and know they can depend on youfor support and development.
• You takepride and responsibility for your own development, with an eye towardsbecoming a General Manager one day.
