Job summary

Ember Inns is seeking an Assistant Manager at the Ship Inn in St Helens to support the General Manager in day-to-day operations across the pub, hotel, and hospitality services. You will lead the team, coach staff, and ensure guests enjoy excellent service in meals, drinks, and overnight stays.

You'll mentor individuals to reach their potential, drive standards, and deliver WOW moments for guests while maintaining safe and legal operations.

Qualifications

• Management experience in hospitality
• Strong leadership and people development skills
• Experience in hotel, pub, restaurant operations

• Ability to train and motivate teams

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the business including the hotel and pub operations
• Train and inspire your team to deliver food, drink, service and accommodation experiences to be proud of
• Be the role model and guide development within your team
• Lead the team to deliver moments that WOW our guest, keeping them coming back
• Support the delivery of excellent restaurant and hotel standards, creating a welcoming and comfortable experience for every hotel guest
• Ensure all safe and legal requirements are met across the pub, restaurant and hotel operations
• Strive towards and achieve business targets

WHAT WILL I BE DOING? AS ASSISTANT MANAGER YOU’LL…

• Use your management experience to support the General Manager in the day to day running of the business including the hotel, being the Duty Manager when they are not around.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver food, drink, service and accommodation experiences to be proud of.
• Be the role model and guide development within your team.
• Lead the team to deliver moments that WOW our guest, keeping them coming back.
• Support the delivery of excellent restaurant and hotel standards, creating a welcoming and comfortable experience for every hotel guest.
• Ensure all safe and legal requirements are met across the pub, restaurant and hotel operations.
