Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC at the Ship Inn in Knowsley seeks an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager across pub, restaurant and hotel operations, guiding the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You will lead by example, drive service standards, ensure safety and compliance, and help the team achieve targets while fostering a welcoming atmosphere for every guest. This role offers clear progression and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in management or supervisory roles within hospitality.
• Ability to lead teams and mentor staff.
• Strong guest service mindset and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Use your management experience to support the General Manager in the day to day running of the business including the hotel, being the Duty Manager when they are not around.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver food, drink, service and accommodation experiences to be proud of.
• Be the role model and guide development within your team.
• Lead the team to deliver moments that WOW our guest, keeping them coming back.
• Support the delivery of excellent restaurant and hotel standards, creating a welcoming and comfortable experience for every hotel guest.
• Ensure all safe and legal requirements are met across the pub, restaurant and hotel operations.
• Strive towards and achieve business targets.

As Assistant Manager at the Ship Inn, you'll bring your experience to the table, supporting the General Manager in leading your team to success. Through your passion and drive, you'll motivate your team to deliver excellent guest experiences, whether our guests are joining us for a meal, drinks or an overnight stay, mentoring each individual to be the best that they can be!
