Job summary

Mole Valley Farmers is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead day-to-day store operations in Salisbury. You will drive sales, manage stock and budgets, and inspire teams to deliver exceptional customer service and a smooth shopping experience.

You will take on Store Manager responsibilities in their absence, ensuring compliance with health & safety and company policies while promoting a positive, proactive store culture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a retail or customer-facing environment.
• Experience managing stock, merchandising, and delivering commercial targets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, including sales, stock control, and customer service.
• Confident interpreting financial data and managing budgets.
• Solid IT skills and awareness of Health & Safety and GDPR compliance.
• You’ll be proactive, approachable, and solution-focused, with a flexible and team-oriented attitude.

We’re looking for a confident and customer-focused Assistant Manager to join our team. This is a key leadership role in supporting the Store Manager, driving commercial success, and ensuring every customer enjoys an exceptional experience. About The Role

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full-time

Hours of Work: 40 Hours per week

As Assistant Manager, you’ll play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the store. You’ll lead by example, inspire your team, and create a positive, knowledgeable, and solution-focused environment that reflects our values. You’ll also take on the responsibilities of the Store Manager in their absence.
