Job summary

Mole Valley Farmers Limited in Basingstoke is seeking a Customer Service Assistant to support a busy retail team. This permanent, part-time role offers an opportunity to contribute to an exceptional shopping experience through friendly service and product knowledge.

You will work 5.5 hours per week, including Sundays, with a salary between £10.85 and £12.71 per hour, guided training, and a strong emphasis on customer-first values.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; full training provided.
• Strong retail disciplines and a passion for customer service.
• Good IT skills and ability to manage systems accurately.
• Awareness of Health & Safety and GDPR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service that is friendly, respectful and solution-focused.
• Support the store team in maximising sales through product knowledge.
• Take ownership of a designated department and drive sales via merchandising and promotions.
• Review stock levels and adjust seasonally to meet customer needs.
• Process goods inwards and maintain stock file accuracy.
• Ensure visual merchandising standards and store presentation.
• Be proficient in cash handling and company procedures.
• Work in line with health & safety guidelines and GDPR compliance.

About The Role

Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part-time
Hours of Work: 5.5 Hours per week, working Sunday

As a Customer Service Assistant, you’ll play an important part in maximising store performance by delivering outstanding service and supporting the presentation and availability of products. From assisting with stock management to offering knowledgeable advice, you’ll ensure every interaction reflects our values: Customer First, Honest, Committed, Knowledgeable, Courageous, and Innovative.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering excellent customer service that is friendly, respectful, and solution-focused
