Are you passionate about great food, exceptional wine and creating memorable guest experiences?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and commercially minded Assistant Manager to join a premium pub and restaurant where quality, service and attention to detail really matter.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands‑on, leading from the front and helping to shape the overall guest experience. With a particular emphasis on wine, you’ll have the opportunity to share your knowledge, make recommendations and help develop a drinks offering that complements the food and keeps guests coming back.
Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of the business, supporting the team and ensuring consistently high standards across both food and drink.
You’ll be confident leading a team, building strong guest relationships and creating an environment where people feel welcome and well looked after. You’ll also have a genuine interest in wine, with the confidence to engage guests, guide their choices and help the team develop their knowledge.
Experience as an Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager or an experienced Supervisor ready to take the next step.
A genuine passion for food, wine and quality hospitality.
Good wine knowledge and enthusiasm for developing this further.
WSET Level 1 or 2 would be advantageous, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are just as important.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
A hands‑on approach and a good understanding of the commercial side of running a hospitality business.
Someone who takes pride in delivering great service and creating memorable experiences for guests.
Salary of £35,000–£40,000, depending on experience.
The opportunity to make a real impact on the wine offering and guest experience.
A quality‑focused food and drink environment.
The chance to develop your leadership skills and progress your career.
An opportunity to work with a team that cares about doing things properly.
If you love premium hospitality, enjoy talking about wine and want to be part of a business where your ideas and contribution are valued, we’d love to hear from you.
