Cardiff and Vale University Health Board in Southampton is seeking an Assistant Support Technician to join the End User Devices team. You will learn how to configure new devices, support audits by tracking devices, and develop your IT skills to ensure the right equipment is available when needed.

The role covers 2nd line support, making configuration changes, monitoring third‑party resolutions, handling user service requests, and granting access under policy.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support or service delivery.
• Solid understanding of data protection principles.
• Good customer service mindset and ability to communicate with clinical teams.
• Proficient in using MS Office products and basic troubleshooting.
• Awareness of hospital patient flows and IT systems in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd line support for all assigned systems, including fault finding, diagnosis and resolution of complex issues.
• Make configuration changes or data corrections within assigned systems as required.
• Ensure that calls that are referred onto 3rdparty suppliers for a resolution are monitored and have progress updates until resolution.
• Process and resolve user service requests for relevant systems.
• Grant users access to assigned systems, in line with current policies and procedures.
