Job summary

St Helens Borough Council is seeking an IT Technician to provide IT support to a large secondary school. You will join a 3-person team and assist the Network Manager and Senior Engineer, delivering both first- and second-line support for staff and students.

The role requires at least one year in IT support, experience with end-user devices, and good customer service. A Flexible pattern will apply within 8:00–17:00 hours, 37 hours/week.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in IT support.
• Experience providing first- and second-line IT support.
• Experience with end-user devices (Windows PCs, printers, iPads) and AV equipment.
• Good customer service and service desk skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-line IT support to staff and students.
• Support end-user devices including Windows PCs, printers and iPads.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 administration and Windows Server tasks as needed.
• Take ownership of service desk calls and prioritise based on impact.
