Job summary

Travelodge London Croydon Central is seeking an Assistant Hotel Manager to lead and develop hotel teams, delivering outstanding customer experiences. This role is offered on a Full Time or Part Time basis and requires coaching, recruitment and strong service standards.

You will manage personal development plans, oversee inductions, ensure brand-standard food quality, drive guest satisfaction, oversee maintenance, and handle rota planning, banking and health & safety with a view to achieve KPI

Qualifications

• Previous experience leading a team in a service-led, customer-facing industry.
• Strong focus on delivering outstanding customer experiences.
• Food & beverage experience is advantageous for Bar Cafe hotels.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and motivate hotel teams to meet targets.
• Create personal development plans with team members for career growth.
• Recruit and induct new staff, ensuring warm, welcoming onboarding.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented to brand standards (Bar Cafe hôtels).
• Maximise food and beverage sales through cross-selling and upselling.
• Review customer feedback and implement targeted improvement actions.
• Ensure rooms and public areas are cleaned to company standards.
• Oversee repairs or maintenance and report issues.
• Manage rosters, banking and health & safety compliance.
• Drive engagement and incentives to motivate team performance.
