Travelodge Portsmouth City Centre is seeking an Assistant Hotel Manager to lead and energise hotel teams to deliver outstanding customer experiences. The role includes coaching, developing staff, recruitment, and maintaining brand standards across operations.

Ideal candidates will have experience in a service-led environment; food & beverage experience is a plus for Bar Cafe hotels. The position offers a full-time schedule with opportunities for progression and rewards.

Qualifications

• Leads a hotel team to deliver customer experiences.
• Experience in service-led roles and team management is essential.
• F&B experience is a plus for Bar Cafe hotels.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and motivate hotel teams.
• Create development plans for team members.
• Recruit and induct new staff with strong onboarding.
• Ensure food and beverage standards where applicable.
• Maximise F&B sales through cross-selling and upselling.
• Review customer feedback and implement improvement plans.
• Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of rooms/public areas.
• Manage rotas, banking and health & safety responsibilities.
