Job summary

Travelodge Portsmouth City Centre is seeking an Assistant Hotel Manager for a full-time role. You will lead, coach and motivate hotel teams, develop personal growth plans for staff, and ensure a warm induction for new hires. You will also drive F&B upsells where applicable and monitor brand-standard food presentation.

You will review guest feedback, supervise cleanliness and maintenance, and handle rota planning, banking and safety procedures to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a service-oriented team in a busy hotel or hospitality environment.
• Proven ability to develop team members through coaching and personal development plans.
• Strong focus on customer experience and KPI attainment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and motivate hotel teams to deliver outstanding customer experience.
• Create development plans for team members and manage inductions for new staff.
• Maximise food & beverage sales through upselling where applicable.
• Review customer feedback and implement targeted improvement plans.
• Oversee cleanliness and maintenace reporting of rooms and public areas.
• Manage rota creation, banking, and health & safety compliance.
