First Military Recruitment is currently seeking an Assistant Head Teacher on behalf of one of our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. As part of the senior leadership team (SLT), the Assistant Headteacher (AH) will have professional and operational responsibility for the organisation, management, and conduct of the Education Provision (EP).
2. You might be ready to take the step up or already be an experienced Middle Leader, but with a passion for SEND at all ages and abilities.
3. Keen to significantly improve the life chances and outcomes for our children and young people, whether they are within our SEND provisions or mainstream schools.
4. The AH, working with the co-Headteachers and EP employees, will help to develop and implement the strategic view of the EP and analyse and plan for its future needs and developments.
5. Ensure the EP is compliant with its Safeguarding procedures.
6. Support the teaching and learning values of the EP and communicate and drive the direction to ensure outstanding teaching and successful learning of all children and young people (CYP).
7. Support and encourage all members of the teaching and support staff to work towards the EP’s aims and to achieve the strategic vision and annual whole EP targets.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Teacher qualified.
• Successful experience as a teacher and leader in an EP with a relevant skill set to meet the needs and demands of this role.
• Experience working with a range of pupils with SEND.
• Evidence of further relevant training and development relevant to the role or willingness to work towards it.
