Job summary

The Copthorne Hotel Manchester is seeking a Casual Night Guest Service Assistant to help run the hotel during the night. You will respond to guest needs, manage luggage, ensure cleanliness and safety, and assist with bar operations and billing.

Typical shifts run from 22:30 to 07:00, including weekends; previous hospitality experience and Opera knowledge are advantageous for this role.

Responsibilities

• Have a complete operational knowledge of the hotel, including layout, services, personnel structure and security, and local area.
• Arrange collection, delivery and storage of guests luggage and non-valuables per policy.
• Be responsible for the overall cleanliness of Front Office and external public areas.
• Assist in maintaining hotel security and control entry in line with licensing regulations.
• Operate the night porter’s bar following company procedures and proper billing at all times.
• Know and apply Hotel Fire and Evacuation Procedures at all times.

The Copthorne Hotel Manchester is seeking a Casual Night Guest Service Assistant to assist in the smooth operation of the hotel during the course of the night.

What the Casual Nights Guest Service Assistant role involves

• Having a complete operational knowledge of the hotel, including geographical layout, services provided, personnel structure/duties and security as well as knowledge and provision of local area.
• To arrange for the collection, delivery and storage of guests luggage and non‑valuable property according to Company policy.
• Responsibility for the overall cleanliness of the Front Office and external public areas.
• To assist in maintaining the security of the hotel and controlling entry to the premises in compliance with licensing regulations.
• To operate the night porter’s bar according to company procedures, Licensing, Health and Hygiene regulations and to ensure that proper billing procedure is followed at all times.
• Having a full knowledge and understanding of the Hotel Fire and Evacuation Procedures and ensure compliance at all times.

As a Casual Nights Guest Service Assistant, you should have

• Polite and courteous manner, with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
• Flexible approach to work with the ability to carry out a variety of tasks
• Previous experience within hospitality/similar
• Typical shifts will be 22.30 pm to 7.00 am, including weekends.
• Experience with Opera operating system is advantageous.
