Job summary

Popeyes UK & Ireland is seeking a committed Assistant General Manager to lead from the front in a fast-paced, branded restaurant. You’ll partner with the GM to drive performance, guest experience, and food quality while modelling standards and inclusivity.

You will recruit, train, and mentor a talented team, ensuring compliance with HACCP, health & safety, and employment law. This role offers clear progression to senior leadership and a vibrant, energetic culture.

Qualifications

• Experience as Assistant General Manager or Restaurant General Manager in a branded, high-volume QSR or fast-casual restaurant.
• Track record of hitting sales targets, managing P&L, and controlling costs.
• Experience with labour scheduling, stock management, and inventory systems.
• Strong people leadership with ability to recruit, develop and retain top talent.

Responsibilities

• Help run the restaurant and lead the team to deliver Popeyes’ outstanding food quality, speed of service, and guest experience standards.
• Support your GM in building a winning plan and smashing performance goals.
• Ensure full team compliance with food safety (HACCP), health & safety, and employment legislation.
• Be the role model—set the tone, keep standards high, and inspire your team.
• Create a warm, inclusive space where everyone feels welcome.
