Popeyes UK&I is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead from the front in a high-volume QSR environment. You will partner with the GM to drive guest satisfaction, quality control, and operational excellence. You’ll coach, develop and retain a strong team while ensuring compliance with safety and employment laws.

Qualifications

• Experience as Assistant General Manager or Restaurant General Manager in a branded, high-volume QSR or fast-casual restaurant.
• Proven ability to lead teams, coach, train and have honest conversations as needed.
• Track record of hitting sales targets, managing P&L and controlling costs.
• Experience with labour scheduling, stock management and inventory systems.
• Strong people leadership; ability to build teams and develop future leaders.
• Ability to deliver quality, safety and cleanliness standards at all times.
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Help run the restaurant and lead the team to deliver Popeyes’ food quality, speed of service and guest experience standards.
• Support the GM in building a winning plan and smashing performance goals.
• Ensure full team compliance with food safety (HACCP), health & safety, and employment legislation.
• Be the role model—set the tone, keep standards high, and inspire your team.
• Create a warm, inclusive space where everyone feels welcome.
• Recruit, develop and retain top talent and build a pipeline for future leadership.
• Bring energy and keep service smooth and culture engaging.
• Step in when the GM is away and pursue personal development as a stepping stone to leadership.
