About The Role

We have a great opportunity for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join our fast-paced and friendly Finance Department on a permanent basis. This role would suit a candidate with a relevant degree or AAT level 4, plus experience already gained in a similar role.

Your key responsibilities will include supporting the close of the month-end accounting through the posting of journals, performing balance sheet reconciliations and other financial control activities. You will also play a key role in supporting the external interim and annual audits. You'll will work together with finance colleagues, as well as colleagues from other departments, and provide a flexible approach when responding to queries from external and internal customers.

ARAG offers support of the successful candidate's professional training as well as ongoing training and support within the role.

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates with strong MS Excel skills. You will have a keen eye for detail, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively and you'll be naturally proactive and curious when it comes to finding solutions.

In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Degree in relevant subject or AAT Level 4
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Experience of SAP would be advantageous
